Background

Born and raised in Australia, Matt first came to Japan at 15 on a 2 week exchange program. This provided him with a taste of Japan which led to a 1 year sister school exchange program at a high school located in Kumamoto, Kyushu. He then enrolled as a local student at International Christian University in Tokyo, spending his 3rd year at Peking University studying Mandarin before returning to Japan to complete his degree in Asian Studies. Upon graduation, he started working in the Nippon Ham group, buying and importing lamb and mutton from Australia and New Zealand for 3 years. Due to his hands on Supply Chain experience, Matt now works with Supply Chain professionals as a consultant for Supply Chain opportunities in Japan and the APAC region. As a JLPT Level 1 Japanese holder, feel free to talk to Matt in either English or Japanese.
